Hans  JELLINEK

 

 Hans Jellinek nacque a Vienna il 22 dicembre del 1906 da Max Jellinek e Else Nadler e fece parte della formidabile squadra austriaca che primeggiò in campo mondiale prima dell'inizio del secondo conflitto mondiale.

 Jellinek fece parte della formidabile squadra austriaca che vinse il Campionato Europeo del 1936 ed il Campionato Mondiale del 1937 battendo il famosissimo Culbertson Team.

 Di origine ebrea, Jellinek emigrò in Norvegia all'inizio della guerra nella speranza di scampare alla cieca furia nazista, ma il governo norvegese non offrì la sperata protezione ai rifugiati.

 Catturato, venne deportato in Germania nel 1940 e venne soppresso ad Auschwitz il 14 gennaio del 1943.

 Jellinek was part of the formidable Austrian team that won the World Championship in 1937 by beating the famous Culbertson Team.

Of Jewish descent, emigrated to Norway Jellinek beginning of the war in the hope of escaping the Nazi blind fury, but the Norwegian Government did not offer the hoped-protection to refugees.

Captured, he was deported to Germany in 1940 and was murdered in Auschwitz on January 14, 1943.
