Marietta  PASSELL HUGGARD

 

 Marietta Huggard è nata il 9 giugno  1935 a Lagermont (NY) ed ha studiato al Mils College di New York e alla Nova Southeastern University di Fort Lauderdale.

 Sposata in prime nozze con Bill Passell e oggi vedova di Richard Huggard, ha avuto tre figli.

 Ex insegnante, ha gestito tre Club a Fort Lauderdale, NaplesBonita Springs ed è stata insegnante e organizzatrice di crociere bridgistiche nonché una delle migliori giocatrici americane nel decennio tra il '65 ed il '75.

 Ha vinto 3 titoli nazionali e nel 1974  la prima Venice Cup, battendo in finale il nostro Pink Team.

 Oggi vive a Sarasota in Florida.

   Marietta Huggard was born June 9, 1935 at Lagermont (NY) and studied at Mils College of New York and Nova Southeastern University of Fort Lauderdale.

 Married in the first wedding with Mike Passell and today Huggard widow, had three children.

Taught gifted children in Wilton, Conn., and Scarsdale, N.Y., taught bi-lingual education at Nova Middle School for two years, taught bridge for Channel 13, New York.

Owner, manager of bridge clubs in Fort Lauderdale, Naples and Bonita Springs. Taught all levels of bridge for more than 20 years. Lectures and teaches at bridge clubs, country clubs and on bridge cruises.

Partnered with Kathy Wei-Sender to win her first national bridge competition.

Partnered with Bette Cohen in the Fall Nationals in 1970 and won 100 gold points playing in the Women's Life Master Pairs.

Won the Women's Life Master Pairs, Team Mixed Pairs and the Venice Cup in 1974 playing for the U.S. National Women's Teams. The Venice Cup was the first international women's team event in bridge history.
