Ed Hoogenkamp č nato il 7 agosto del 1960 all'Aja ma vive in Spagna ad Allariz, un piccolo comune della Galizia, con la moglie Yetta Espejo.
Bilingue, ha studiato presso il Collegio Fioretti di Lisse e si č laureato all'Universitā di Leida.
Figlio d'arte, la mamma era la campionessa Dicky Hoogenkamp che vinse l'argento ai Campionati Mondiali a Squadre Miste del 1962, ed il papā Hans Vos fu anche lui un noto bridgista della seconda metā dello scorso secolo.
Professionista del bridge, ha fatto parte della nazionale olandese ed ha colto il suo miglior risultato internazionale con la vittoria della EBL Cup agli Europei Open del 2017.
La mamma Dicky nacque ad Emmen nel 1927 e scomparve nella stessa cittā il 23 febbraio del 2017 dopo aver mietuto una messe di medaglie ai Campionati del MEC. Oro nello Squadre Femminili del 1967, oro nello Squadre Miste del 1971 (seguito dal bronzo del 1973 e dall'argento del 1979), bronzo nel Coppie Femminili del 1975, argento nel Coppie Miste del 1979, argento nello Squadre Open del 1988.

Ed Hoogenkamp was born on 7 August 1960 at the Aja but lives in Spain at
Allariz, a small commune in Galicia, with his wife Yetta Espejo.
Bilingual, studied at the Collegio Fioretti of Lisse and graduated from the University of Leida.
Son of art, mom was champion Dicky Hoogenkamp who won silver at the Mixed Championship Olympiads in 1962, and his dad Hans Vos was also a well-known bridgehead in the second half of last century.
Bridge Professional, was a member of the Dutch national team and achieved his best international achievement with the EBL Cup victory at the 2017 European Open.
Mummy Dicky was born in Emman in 1927 and disappeared in the same city on February 23, 2017 after harvesting several medals at the EC Championships. Gold in the 1967 in Women's Teams, gold in the Mixed Teams in 1971 (followed by the 1973 bronze and 1979 silver), bronze in the 1975 in Women's Pairs, silver in the Mixed Pairs of 1979 and finally, silver in the 1988 Open Teams.
