Susanna Gross è nata a Londra nel 1967ed è stata educata all'Università di York.
Figlia di Miriam e John, due noti editori inglesi ha seguito le orme dei genitori ed è stata dal 1999 la redattrice letteraria del "The Mail on Sunday".
Esperta bridgista è stata anche editorialista di "The Spectator" dal 2000.
Suo fratello Tom è un giornalista politico specializzato nel Middle East.
Come bridgista ha colto il suo miglior risultato nel 2011 vincendo il Lady Milne.
Susanna era sposata con John Preston, un noto novellista e critico TV di 16 anni più anziano, che è una bridgista di livello nazionale e che scrive spesso a proposito del gioco.
Susanna è purtroppo scomparsa prematuramente dopo una lunga malattia l'11 novembre del 2025.

was born in London in 1969 and was educated at the University of York.
She is the daughter of Miriam and John two well-known English publishers, she has followed in the footsteps of her parents and since 1999 she has been the literary editor of "The Mail on Sunday". Her brother Tom is a political journalist specializing in the Middle East.
As a bridge player she took her best result by winning the Lady Milne in 2011.
Susanna has been married to John Preston, a well-known novelist and TV critic aged 16, who is a nationwide bridge player and who writes frequently about the game.
Susanna sadly passed away prematurely after a long illness on November 11, 2025.
