Rigmor Fraenckel

Among the greatest Danish champions of all time, Rigmor Fraenckel was born in Copenhagen in 1909 and died in April 1983.

She is a bridge teacher, winner of many national titles, she also won 5 European Women's Team Championships (1948, 49, 55, 57, 58) and finished second in those of 1951.

At the first Bridge Olympics (Turin 1960) she earned bronze in the Women's Team.

Rigmor was one of the very few players to participate in a European Championship in the open team, by the way, paired with another player Otti Damm.

A truly remarkable event was also winning the 1951 Danish Open Team Championship where Rigmore won in an all-female team.
