Nata a Siena nel 1948 è una World Master ed una Italian Grand Master.
Professoressa di matematica, ha fatto parte diverse volte della rappresentativa azzurra ed ha conquistato due medaglie di bronzo ai Campionati Europei a Squadre Femminili.
Ha anche vinto i Campionati a Coppie del MEC nel 1979 e ha conquistato due bronzi in quelli a Squadre (1981, 1983); inoltre, ha aggiunto al suo palmares diversi titoli nazionali di categoria tra i quali la Coppa Italia del 1996 e 5 Campionati a Squadre nel 1983, 85, 88, 91, 95 2002.
Nel 2013 ha guidato come capitano non giocatore la Squadra di Genova alla conquista del Campionato Italiano a Squadre Femminile.
