Nato a Milano nel 1920, Pierino Astolfi ha calcato le scende del bridge per oltre mezzo secolo, una figura immancabile ai Campionati Italiani che riuscė a partecipare a 62 edizioni di fila.
Per quanto mi č dato di saperne č l'unico ad aver partecipato a tutte le edizioni dalla prima del 1947 fino alla sua ultima nel 2008.
Cresciuto sulle tracce del mitico Grgona, lo ha aiutato a tirare schiere di bridgisti meneghini.
Italian Grand Master, ha vinto il Campionato Europeo a Squadre nel 1965 e la Coppa Italia del 1975.
Pierino ci ha lasciati nell'estate del 2009 nella cittā dove ha sempre vissuto.
Born in Milan in 1920, Pierino Astolfi has walked down
the bridge for over half a century, an ever-present figure in the Italian
Open Teams Championships that he could participate in 62 editions in a row.
For me it is given to know he is the only one that participated in all editions from before 1947 until his last in 2008.
Growing up on the trail of the legendary Grgona, helped him pull legions of bridge players Milaneses.
Italian Grand Master, he won the European Teams Championships in 1965 and the Italian Cup in 1975.
Pierino passed away in the summer of 2009.
