Questa convenzione di origine sconosciuta si prefigge di gestire le interferenze che gli avversari portano sull'Apertura di 1SA del proprio compagno.
Rispetto ad altre convenzioni simili, il suo maggior pregio è costituito dalla facilità di memorizzazione e dall'impossibilità per gli avversari di rialzare a livello di tre il Colore di Intervento senza che l'Apertore abbia notizie circa i Nobili posseduti dal suo compagno.
Quella riportata in questo articolo è la versione più usuale tra le molte correnti.

2SA = Stayman con fermo a fiori
3♣♦♥ = invitanti o forzanti in sotto Colore con Colore reale almeno quinto
3♠ = richiesta di fermo a fiori, nega interesse per i Nobili
3SA = a giocare con doppio fermo, nega interesse per i Nobili

Of unknown origin, this convention, has the aim to handle the
interference the opponents make against the 1NT opening of the partner.
With respect to other similar conventions, it has the advantage to be easy to remember, and it makes impossible for the opponents to rise to 3 the level of the interference suit without the Opener having information about majors owned by his partner.
We show here the most common version among those currently used.

3♣♦♥ = inviting or transfer forcing, with real suit at least 5+
3♠ = it asks for clubs stopper; no majors interest
3NT = sign off with double stoppers. No interest for majors
