Severo Tuason nacque nel 1909 da una grande famiglia filippina, ingegnere, ebbe grande successo negli affari e divenne ricchissimo.

 Buon giocatore e grande appassionato, aveva vinto nel 1959 il Campionato del "Far East" guadagnando il diritto a partecipare alla prima Olimpiade a Torino l'anno successivo.

 Per diversi anni membro dell'Executive Board della WBF, un malanno gli rovinò gli ultimi anni della sua vita costringendolo a viaggiare con al seguito il medico personale.

 Scomparve a Manila alla fine del 1973.

Severo Tuason was born in 1909 by a big Filipino family, an engineer that has had great success in business and became rich.

Good player and a great lover, had in 1959 won the championship of the "Far East" earning the right to participate in the first Olympics in Turin next year.

For several years a member of the Executive Board of the WBF, a sickness ruined the last years of his life causing him to travel with the following personal physician.

He disappeared in Manila at the end of 1973.
