Gábor Salgó è nato il 15 marzo del 1917 a Budapest ed è stato una figura di spicco del bridge amministrativo ungherese ed europeo, soprattutto per le faccende che hanno riguardato il Bridge nei Paesi dell'Est in un periodo davvero non facile .

 Sposato con Dolly Miklos (1923 - 2002), fece parte del Comitato Esecutivo della EBL dal 1975 al 1983 e di quello della MBSZ dal 1990 al 1991. Attivo nell'IBPA fu per anni la figura fulcro del Budapest Bridge Festival.

 Gabriele scomparve nella sua Budapest a seguito di complicazioni successive ad un intervento operatorio il 16 dicembre del 1992.

Active nell'IBPA was for years the core figure of the Budapest Bridge Festival.

He disappeared in his Budapest following successive complications of an operation on December 16, 1992.
