Barry Myers è nato a Londra il 14 ottobre del 1951 ed ha imparato a giocare a bridge mentre frequentava le scuole superiori.
Alla Manchester University ha potuto migliorare il suo gioco frequentando diversi giocatori che sarebbero diventati nazionali.
Ha abbandonato a lungo il bridge perché la sua carriera di avvocato criminalista gli consumava tutto il tempo utile.
Negli ultimi anni ha ripreso l'attività agonistica ed ha vinto tre volte la Hubert Phillips Bowl e due volte la Tollemache Cup.
Oggi è un giocatore di misto di livello internazionale che fa coppia con la campionessa Sally Brock e che ha vinto il Camrose del 2021 guadagnando anche posizioni di rilievo con la nazionale mista inglese.

At Manchester University he was able to improve his game by dating several players who would become nationals.
He abandoned bridge for a long time because his career as a criminalist lawyer was consuming him all the time.
In recent years he has resumed competitive activity and has won the Hubert Phillips Bowl three times and the Tollemache Cup twice.
Today he is an international mixed player who is paired with champion Sally Brock and who won the 2021 Camrose and also gained prominent positions with the English mixed national team.
