 Walter D.  JOHNSON

 

 Walter D. Johnson è nato l'8 novembre del 1953 a Findlay nell'Ohio una città circa 75 Km. a sud del lago Erie e si è diplomato nel 1971 alla Upper Arlington High School di Columbus per poi completare gli studi nelle Università di Wittenberg (Springfield) dove imparò il bridge, dell'Ohio (Columbus) e laurearsi nel 1979 in quella di Otterbein a Westville.

 Dopo essersi pensionato da una posizione direttiva nello stato dell'Ohio si dedicò completamente all'insegnamento ed alla pratica del bridge.

 Sposato con Terri che gli ha dato tre figli, è stato un bridgista di livello nazionale nel corso della sua carriera ha vinto nel 1985 il Kaplan Blue Ribbon Pairs e nel 1990 e i Grand National Teams del 1990 e del 2010.

 Walter è scomparso il 20 marzo del 2013 a Gahanna una cittadina nell'hinterland di Columbus.

  Walter D. Johnson was born on November 8, 1953 in Findlay Ohio, a town about 75 kilometres south of Lake Erie and graduated in 1971 at Upper Arlington High School in Columbus and then complete his studies at the University of Wittenberg (Springfield) where he learnt bridge, Ohio (Columbus) and graduated in 1979 at the Otterbein in Westville.

 After having retired from a management position in the state of Ohio was devoted entirely to teaching and practice of the bridge. 

He is married to Terri that gives him three children, bBridge player at the national level in the course of his career he won in 1985 the Kaplan Blue Ribbon Pairs and in 1990 and two Grand National Teams (1990 and 2010).

Walter passed away on March 20, 2013 in Gahanna a small town in the suburbs of Columbus.
