Sartaj Hans è nato nel dicembre del 1974 e vive a Sydney passando la maggior parte del suo tempo a giocare a Bridge ed il resto quale consulente di informatica.
Membro delle squadre australiana fin dal 2003 pratica un gioco aggressivo basato sul SA debole.
Hans è anche l'architetto del sistema "Little Meck" che pratica con la sua compagna abituale Helena Dawson.

International Master, nel 2011 coglie il suo primo successo significato
guadagnando la seconda piazza nel
Transnational Open Teams e l'anno successivo vince la
NEC CUP. He has been a regular member of the Australian teams,
playing for either Australia 1 or Australia 2 each year since 2003. Most of his
victories have been in his partnership with Tony Nunn. Together, they play an
active, aggressive weak notrump based system. When not
playing bridge, Sartaj pretends to work as an IT professional. He is also the
architect of Little Meck, a precision system (partnering
Helena Dawson), that
has slowly been gaining popularity down under.
