Ranik  HALLE

 

 Ranik Halle è nato il 24 agosto del 1905 a Baku, allora parte dell'Impero russo e oggi Azerbaijan, ed è stato il redattore capo presso l'agenzia di stampa del partito conservatore norvegese, nonché un forte giocatore di bridge negli anni anteguerra.

 Il suo nome originario era Andronik Saradscheff e dopo l'assassinio del padre, sua madre Anna Kosta Nova si risposò con Halfdan Halle che era stato amico del padre e che adottò Andronik.

 Andronik prese il nome di Ranik quando si trasferì in Norvegia nel 1916 dove frequentò prima il liceo e poi si laureò.

 Ranik vinse la medaglia d'argento ai Campionati Europei a Squadre del 1938 e fu uno dei principali scrittori di bridge in lingua norvegese del suo tempo.

 Fu anche Presidente della Federazione Norvegese dal 1954 al 1964 e cofondatore della IBPA.

 Morì di cancro a Oslo il 20 maggio del 1987.

  Ranik Halle was born on August 24, 1905 in Baku, then part of the Russian Empire and today Azerbaijan, and was the senior editor at the news agency of the Norwegian Conservative Party, as well as a strong bridge player in the years before the war.

Its original name was Andronik Saradscheff and after the assassination of his father, his mother Anna Nova Kosta remarried with Halfdan Halle, who had been a friend of the father and that he adopted Andronik.

Andronik took the name of Ranik when he moved to Norway in 1916, where he attended high school and graduated.

Ranik won the silver medal at the European Teams Championships of 1938 and was one of the main bridge writers in the Norwegian language of his time.

He was also President of the Norwegian Federation from 1954 to 1964 and co-founder of the IBPA.

He died of cancer in Oslo on May 20, 1987.
