Nata nel 1903 Betty Fox è stata una delle più noti giocatrici inglesi del secolo scorso che detiene un record difficilmente superabile: ha vinto alla tenera età di 92 anni un Torneo nazionale giocando in Coppia con il marito che ne aveva 81: 173 anni in due!
Betty studiò alla Rodean School e poi passò all'Accademia delle Arti Drammatiche dove incontrò al tavolo di bridge il suo primo marito: Trevor Harris.
Più tardi, divenuta insegnante di Bridge si spostò a Londra nel Mayfair Bridge Studio di George Fox che, nel 1968, divenne il suo secondo marito benché avesse 11 anni meno di lei.
Morì dopo una breve malattia, all'età di 93 anni nella cittadina di Hove dove si era ritirata da poco con il marito.
Born in 1903, Betty Fox was one of the most famous English bridge players of
the last century which holds a record difficult to beat: she won at the age of
92 a national tournament in pair with her husband who had 81: 173 years in two!
Betty Rodean studied at the School and then went to the Academy of Dramatic Arts, at the bridge table where she met her first husband's Trevor Harris.
Later, became a teacher of Bridge moved to Mayfair in London Bridge Studio of George Fox in 1968 that became her second husband, although he was 11 years younger than she.
He died after a short illness at the age of 93 years in the town of Hove where she retired with her husband.
