Len  DIXON

 Leonard Dixon è nato il 27 dicembre del 1921 nell'East End di Londra ed ha imparato a giocare a bridge su una spiaggia di Ceylon negli intervalli tra i suoi turni di radarista durante la seconda guerra mondiale.

 Di origine ebrea, emigrato in Australia quarantenne, è divenuto il primo capo dei programmatori del dipartimento della difesa del governo australiano ed è stato per oltre 53 anni corrispondente del Canberra Times pubblicando una rubrica settimanale sul suo hobby preferito: il bridge.

 Sposato con Ruth, deceduta nel 1984, ha avuto tre figlie (una scomparsa nel 1975) ed oggi vive nella sua casa di Ainslie dove ha sempre risieduto da quando approdò a Londra.

 Maestro di bridge, direttore di torneo, organizzatore dei viaggi di bridge nelle crociere Fairstar, dopo aver festeggiato il suo centesimo compleanno gioca ancora ed immancabilmente è la persona più anziana che siede al tavolo.

  Leonard Dixon was born on December 27, 1921 in London's East End and learned to play bridge on a Ceylon beach in the intervals between his turns as a radar operator during World War II.

Of Jewish origin, he emigrated to Australia in his forties, he became the first chief programmers of the Australian government's defense department and was a correspondent for the Canberra Times for over 53 years, publishing a weekly column on his favorite hobby: bridge.

Married to Ruth, who died in 1984, he had three daughters (one disappeared in 1975) and today he lives in his house with him Ainslie where he has always lived since he landed in London.

National bridge master, tournament director, organizer of bridge trips on Fairstar cruises, after celebrating his 100th birthday he still plays and is always the oldest person sitting at the table.
