Lasciò il liceo St. Louis dove aveva insegnato per 20 anni per creare le edizioni "Pole" e la famosa rivista "Tangente" che è stata di riferimento per la matematica ed i giochi.

 Sposato con Martine ebbero tre figli: Fabien, Antony e Stéphane.

 Ancora studente creò il club "Mozart" destinato all'emergere di nuovi giovani talenti che fu frequentato da campioni quali Philippe Cronier e Dominique Pilon.

 Nazionale Junior fondò anche la famosa rivista francese "Jouer Bridge" diretta a lungo prima da Philippe Cronier e poi da Marc Kerlero e fu l'inventore del Campionato Internazionale dei Giochi Matematici .

 Gilles scomparve improvvisamente il 18 novembre 2023 nella sua casa di Neuilly-sur-Seine.

  Gilles Cohen was born in Paris July 11, 1951 and was a mathematic professor, editor, bridge teacher, FFB president, player and great lover of bridge and mathematics.

He left the St. Louis high school where he had taught for 20 years to create the Pole editions and the famous Tangente magazine which was a reference for mathematics and games.

He married Martine and had three children: Fabien, Antony and Stéphane.

While still a student he created the "Mozart" club intended for the emergence of new young talents which was frequented by champions such as Philippe Cronier and Dominique Pilon.

National Junior he also founded the famous French magazine Jouer Bridge directed for a long time first by Philippe Cronier and then by Marc Kerlero and he was the inventor of International Championships of Mathematical Games.

Gilles passed away suddenly on November 18, 2023 in his home in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
