Giorgia  BOTTA

 

 Giorgia Botta è nata a Roma il 26 dicembre del 1989 e ha vissuto nella capitale  dove ha frequentato il liceo scientifico Azzarita e dove si è laureata in scienze politiche presso la Luiss.

  Le sue aspirazioni erano per una carriera diplomatica ma il bridge ha preso il sopravvento.

 Figlia di bridgisti, gioca da quando ha 12 anni e si è messa in luce nel settore giovanile femminile vincendo il bronzo nelle Rona Cup del 2012 e del 2014 e facendolo seguire l'anno successivo dallo stesso metallo nel Campionato Europeo a Squadre e dall'oro nel Campionato Mondiale Transnazionale a Coppie.

 Sul piano nazionale ha vinto nel biennio 2011, 2012 due Campionati a Coppie Femminili Under 26 e due Campionati a Squadre Under 26 (2011, 2012) e nel 2014 i Campionati Assoluti a Squadre Miste.

Nel 2015 si è trasferita a New York dove fa l'insegnante di bridge e dove come giocatrice ha già collezionato tre secondi posti nei NABC.

  Giorgia Botta was born in Rome on December 26, 1989 and lived in the capital where she attended the Azzarita scientific high school and where she graduated in political science from Luiss.

Her aspirations were for a diplomatic career but bridge took over.

Daughter of bridge players, she has been playing since she was 12 and shined in the girls' youth sector by winning bronze in the Rona Cups in 2012 and 2014 and making it follow the following year by the same metal in the European Team Championship and by gold in the Transnational World Pairs Championship.

On a national level, in the two-year period 2011, 2012 she won two Under 26 Women's Pairs Championships and two Under 26 Teams Championships (2011, 2012) and in 2014 the Absolute Mixed Teams Championships.

In 2015 she moved to New York where she is a bridge teacher and where as a player she has already collected three second places in the NABC.
