Lynn  BLUMENTHAL

 

 Lynn Sara Blumenthal (1946 - 1984) è sempre vissuta a Seattle e rappresentava la terza generazione di Life Master.

 Lynn, che ha vinto il suo primo Campionato Regionale a soli 26 anni,  vinse anche lo Sternberg del 1987 ed i Goodwill del 1990.

 Dopo altri numerosi piazzamenti si spense a soli 48 anni quando era una delle giocatrici e direttrici più note dell'America del Nord Ovest.

 Per la grande compassione che nutriva per i meno fortunati, viene ricordata oltre che come campionessa di bridge, soprattutto come campionessa di vita.

Lynn Sara Blumenthal (1946-1994) was a lifetime Seattle area resident and a third generation Life Master.

 She won her first regional at age 26.

With local teammates, Lynn won the 1987 Marsha May Sternberg Women’s Board-a-Match Teams.

Her other high-level wins were second in the North American Team Trials in 1988 and second in the 1993 Keohane North American Swiss Teams; she was also a member of the winning American team in the 1990 Goodwill games.

When she died at the age of 48, she was one of the leading players in western North America.

Lynn is remembered for her gracious manner at the table and her acceptance of all competitors as equals in bridge and in life.

Her voraciousness for knowledge, her puzzle-solving skill and her keen intellect made her a bridge champion. Her compassion for those less fortunate made her a champion of life.
