Ken Baxter č nato nel 1939 ed č stato uno dei migliori giocatori scozzesi che ha saputo conciliare la sua attivitā professionale di consulente informatico con il Bridge agonistico.
Ken, che č stato anche Presidente della Scottish Bridge Union nel biennio 2003/4, a partire dal 1978 ha giocato ininterrottamente per 16 anni per i colori del suo Paese vincendo, tra l'altro, una Gold Cup nel 1980.
Divorziato e con due figli, dopo un periodo di abbandono dalle scene internazionali č rientrato nel 2002 formando una forte partnership con Liz Mc Gowan con la quale ha partecipato agli europei del 2004 e ai Mondiali Seniores.
Ken, che viveva ad Edimburgo ed era un consulente informatico, č scomparso nel 2006 dopo una lunga lotta con il cancro.

Divorced with two children, after a period of neglect from the international scene, he returned in 2002 to form a strong partnership with Liz Mc Gowan with which he has participated in the World Cup and the European Seniors Championship (2004).
Ken, who always lived in Edinburgh, died in 2006.
