Questi attacchi furono ideati dal giocatore americano Sydney Rusinow nella prima metà del secolo scorso, per evitare il problema di confusione che si determinava con l'attacco di Re che, a quei tempi, poteva essere fatto indifferentemente con AKx o con KQx.

Gli Attacchi Rusinow si utilizzano solo nel gioco a SA e prevedono che tutti gli attacchi rivenienti da due o più onori contigui vengano effettuati con l'onore inferiore.

L'unica eccezione è rappresentata dall'inversione della regola generale con AK secchi.

Lo stesso metodo prevede l'attacco con il terzo onore dalle sequenze interrotte (tipo T da KJT).

L'utilità degli Attacchi Rusinow sta nella possibilità di capire immediatamente che l'attacco da Asso esclude il Re, ma questa non è sembrata una ragione sufficiente per adottarli, tanto è vero che pian piano sono caduti in disuso.

These leads were devised by the American player Sydney Rusinow in the first half of the last century, to avoid the problem of confusion that arose with the King's attack, which, at that time, could be made indifferently with AKx or KQx.

Rusinow leads are used only in the SA game and require that all leads coming from two or more adjacent honors are made with the lower honor.

The only exception is represented by the inversion of the general rule with dry AK.

The same method provides for the lead with the third honor from interrupted sequences (such as T from KJT).

The usefulness of Rusinow leads lies in the possibility of immediately understanding that the attack from the Ace excludes the King, but this did not seem a sufficient reason to adopt them, so much so that they gradually fell into disuse.
