Uno degli innumerevoli metodi ideati per intervenire sull'apertura avversaria di 1SA forte è opera del canadese Eric Kokish che suggerisce di fare così:

• ! = cinque più carte in un minore e un nobile quarto

• 2♣ = bicolore nobile

• 2♦ = multicolor (una sesta nobile)

• 2♥ = 5-5 cuori ed un minore

• 2♠ = 5-5 picche ed un minore

• 2SA = bicolore minore o forcing assoluto con mano bicolore

• 3colore = debole in prima, costruttivo in zona

Eric, cambia però il suo approccio quando l'apertura di 1SA è debole:

• ! = punitivo

• 2♣ = bicolore nobile

• 2♦ = multicolor (una sesta nobile)

• 2♥ = 5-4 o 5-5 con cuori quinte ed un minore

• 2♠ = 5-4 o 5-5 con picche quinte ed un minore
