Questa Apertura è stata ideata dal campione americano Edwin Bruce Kantar per poter meglio trattare le Mani Monocolori che hanno dei colori chiusi Nobili chiusi settimi od ottavi.
In particolare questo gambling si applica solo quando ci si trova di fronte ad una delle seguenti distribuzioni:
7.2.2.2
7.3.3.0
7.3.2.1
8.2.2.1
8.3.1.1
8.3.2.0
e si ha il colore settimo capeggiato dai 4 Onori dominanti o quello ottavo capeggiato dai tre Onori Maggiori.
Riprendendo l’idea di Kantar ho elaborato la particolare versione della convenzione che vi riporto.
Il rispondente alla 3SA Kantar ha a sua disposizione le seguenti opportunità:
⇒ passo = quando si pensa che questa sia la scelta migliore;
⇒ 4♦♥♠/4SA = invita l'Apertore a proseguire nell'indagine di Slam solo in caso di coincidenza della sua eventuale Brevità con il colore dichiarato
⇒ 4♣ = è una richiesta di distribuzione. L'Apertore può rispondere come segue:
4♦ = 7.3.2.1 o 7.3.3.0
4♥ = 7.2.2.2
4♠ = 8.2.2.1
4SA = 8.3.1.1
5♣♦ = 8.3.2.0 nel vuoto
5♥♠ = 8.3.2.0, nell'ottava con il vuoto nell'altro Nobile
Dopo la risposta di 4♦, il Rispondente esegue la dichiarazione conclusiva in Nobile che l’Apertore può modificare solo se è stata sbagliata la sua lunga, oppure, dichiara 4SA per approfondire la conoscenza dell’Apertura. Le risposte sono:
Ø 5♣♦ = singolo nel Minore
Ø 5♥♠ = nella settima con il singolo nell’altro Nobile
Ø 6♣♦ = vuoto nel Minore
Ø 6♥♠ = nella settima con il vuoto nell’altro Nobile
Dopo la risposta di 4♥, il Rispondente passa o conclude nel contratto voluto.
Dopo la risposta di 4♠, il Rispondente può passare, concludere nell’altro Nobile o interrogare il singolo con 4SA. Le Risposte sono:
Ø 5♣♦ = nel singolo nel Minore
Ø 5♥♠ = nell’ottava con il singolo nell’altro Nobile
Dopo la risposta di 4SA, il Rispondente può interrogare con 5♣ per conoscere il tripleton dell’Apertore:
Ø 5♦ = tripleton a quadri
Ø 5♥♠ = nell’ottava con il tripleton nell’altro Nobile
Ø 5SA = tripleton a fiori

close 7+ suits.
Specifically, this Gambling opening applies to the following distributions:
7.2.2.2
7.3.3.0
7.3.2.1
8.2.2.1
8.3.1.1
8.3.2.0
and the long 7 suit holds 4 honors or the 8 suit the 3 major honors.
The Answerer bids:
⇒ pass
⇒ 4♦♥♠/4NT = it is an invitation to the Opener to proceed with slam try just in case he has got a shortness in that suit
⇒ 4♣ = distribution request. The Opener answers as follows:
4♦ = 7.3.2.1 o 7.3.3.0
4♥ = 7.2.2.2
4♠ = 8.2.2.1
4NT = 8.3.1.1
5♣♦ = 8.3.2.0 in the void
5♥♠ = 8.3.2.0, in the 8 suit, with void in other major
Following the 4♦ answer, the Answerer:
- can do a final bid in a a major the Opener can change only if wrong ;
- bids 4NT to further ask to the Opener. Answers then are:
- 5♣♦ = singleton in minor
- 5♥♠ = 7 cards wit singleton in other major
- 6♣♦ = void in minor
- 6♥♠ = 7 cards with void in other major
Following the 4♥ answer, the Answerer:
- pass
- bids the final contract
Following the 4♠ answer, the Answerer:
- pass
- other major as a sign off
- asks for singleton with 4NT.
Answers are:
- 5♣♦ = in minor singleton
- 5♥♠ = in the 8 cards suit with singleton in other major
Following the 4NT answer, the Answerer:
- asks using 5♣ for 3 cards suit of the Opener:
- 5♦ = 3 diamonds
- 5♥♠ = 8 cards suit with 3 cards in other major
- 5NT = 3 cards in clubs
