Le Biografie di Infobridge

Arturo Schiavone nacque a Lucera l'8 agosto del 1885, ma milanese di adozione, conobbe il bridge solo nel 1924 e lo elesse subito a suo passatempo preferito.

Ebbe la fortuna di poter angolizzare il barone Acchiappati e di poter far coppia con un giovane Mario Franco.

Fu presidente del Piccolo Club di Milano e vice presidente dell'Associazione Milanese.

Non praticò mai il bridge agonistico e per capire il suo spirito vi riporto questa sua frase che andrebbe ben meditata: "Vorrei ricordare che il bridge deve servire per migliorare la propria concentrazione mentale su tutti i problemi e non solo quelli delle carte e che il problema primo da risolvere è quello di arrivare ad un tavolo, salutare cortesemente ed accingersi ad aprire le nuove carte come si trattasse di un libro che vi racconta una nuova favola, una nuova avventura. Senza questo spirito il bridge si riduce, e di molto, in ogni suo valore".

Arturo Schiavone was born in Lucera on 8 August 1885, but Milanese by adoption, he knew the bridge in 1924 and immediately elected him to his favorite pastime.

He had the good fortune to be able to angolize the baron Acchiappati and to be able to make a couple with a young Mario Franco.

He was president of the Little Club of Milan and vice president of the Milan Association.

He never practiced the competitive bridge and to understand his spirit, I quote you this sentence that should be well thought out: "I would like to remind you that the bridge must serve to improve one's mental concentration on all problems and not just those of the cards and the first problem to solve is to get to a table, greet politely and prepare to open the new cards as if it were a book that tells a new story, a new adventure. Without this spirit the bridge is reduced, and a lot, in every its value ".
