Zeng  PEIYAN

 

 Zeng Peiyan è nato il primo dicembre del 1938 a Shaoxing nella provincia dello Chekiang ed è un prominente uomo politico cinese.

 Laureatosi alla Università di Tsinghua, Zeng entrò nel Partito nel 1978.

 Peiyan è stato membro del Politburo del Partito Comunista Cinese dal 2002 al 2007 e Vice Presidente dal 2003 al 2008.

 Dal 2009 è stato anche membro del Consiglio del Fondo Sovrano della Salute della China Investment Corporation.

 Presidente del Cross-Strait Common Market Foundation, nel 2013 ha visitato per 5 giorni Taiwan aprendosi agli scambi industriali con l'isola.

 Nello stesso anno, in riconoscimento delle sue attività a favore del Bridge è stato eletto Presidente del WBF Congress.

  Zeng Peiyan was born December 1938, in Shaoxing, Zhejiang and he is a Chinese politician.
 He was a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China from 2002 to 2007 and was a Vice-premier from 2003 to 2008.

 Zeng Peiyan graduated from Tsinghua University in 1962. Zeng joined the CPC in 1978.

Following his post as Vice Premier of the State Council, Zeng has been serving as Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, a think tank with the mission of promoting international economic research and exchanges and providing consulting service. In 2009, he also became a member of the International Advisory Council of the sovereign wealth fund China Investment Corporation.

In end of February 2013, Zeng, in his capacity as the Chairman of the mainland-based China Center for International Economic Exchanges visited Taiwan for five days in which he delivered a speech during a Cross-Straits Entrepreneurs’ Forum at the Grand Hotel in Taipei. His visit came at the invitation of Vincent Siew, the Chairman of the Cross-Straits Common Market Foundation. Zeng met representatives from Taiwan’s industrial and commercial circles, and will also tour around the region to get a better understanding of the latest developments to the island's economy.

According to art. 3.2 of the WBF By-Laws, in consideration of the outstanding and distinguished services rendered to the World Bridge Federation and to the development and affirmation of bridge, has been appointed President of the WBF Congress. Zeng Peiyan replaces the late Ding Guangeng.
