Nick  PALMER

 

 Nick Douglas Palmer è nato il 5 febbraio del 1950 a Londra ed è un politico britannico che è stato membro del partito laburista dal 1997 al 2010 e suo cugino Anthony è stata capo di stato maggiore della difesa.

 Ha studiato a Copenaghen e a Vienna ed ha preso un master presso l'università della capitale danese oltre ad un PhD in matematica presso il Birbeck College dell'università di Londra.

 È sposato con Fiona Hunter dal 2000.

 Presso il MIT ha invece perfezionato le sue conoscenze di informatica applicandosi in particolare nei campi dell'IA e della traduzione linguistica.

 Parla sei lingue ed ha scritto tre libri sui giochi di simulazione dei conflitti.

 Ha lavorato per la Novartis ed ha co-fondato la rivista Flagship.

Appassionato bridgista ha rappresentato più volte la Camera dei Comuni nella celebre sfida tra Lords e Commons.

Convinto animalista fa parte della British Union for the abolition of Vivisection.

Nick Douglas Palmer was born on February 5, 1950 in London and is a British politician who was a member of the Labor Party from 1997 to 2010 and his cousin Anthony served as Chief of Defense.

He studied in Copenhagen and Vienna and received a master's degree from the Danish capital university as well as a PhD in mathematics from Birbeck College of the University of London.

He has been married to Fiona Hunter since 2000.

At MIT, on the other hand, he perfected his knowledge of computer science by applying in particular in the fields of AI and linguistic translation.

He speaks six languages and has written three books on conflict simulation games.

He worked for Novartis and co-founded Flagship magazine.

Passionate bridge player, he represented the House of Commons several times in the famous challenge between Lords and Commons.

Convinced animal rights activist, he is part of the British Union for the abolition of Vivisection.
