Paul Marston è nato nel 1949 in Nuova Zelanda ma oggi vive a Sydney.
Giocatore di spicco del panorama australiano ha vinto oltre 50 titoli nazionali ed è forse ancor più famoso come scrittore, avendo venduto i suoi libri oltre mezzo milione di copie.
World International Master, è proprietario del "Grand Slam Bridge Centre" ed è un contributore abituale dell'"Australian Bridge Magazine".
Teorico di fama è anche coautore del sistema chiamato "Moscito Club" (Major Oriented Strong Club — Intermediate Two Openings, sometimes Major Oriented Strong Club, Intrepid Two Openings) ed ha ideato alcune note convenzioni tra le quali ricordiamo la Soap.
Sul piano internazionale ha vinto il bronzo ai Campionati Mondiali a Coppie del 1986 e due volte il Cavendish Teams nel 1984 e nel 1990.
