James Holzhauer è nato nel 1985 a Naperville da un immigrato tedesco.
Da bambino si è distinto per le sue abilità matematiche quando frequentava le elementari e all'età di 20 anni si è laureato in matematica presso l'Università dell'Illinois.
Sua nonna era giapponese e James gli aveva promesso che sarebbe apparso nel Jeopardy Show prima della morte di lei. Promessa largamente mantenuta visto che in oltre 30 apparizioni nello show ha vinto più di 2 milioni di USD!
Oggi è un giocatore professionista di poker e di bridge.
James Holzhauer was born in 1985 in Naperville to a German immigrant.
As a child he distinguished himself for his mathematical abilities when he was in elementary school and at the age of 20 he graduated with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Illinois.
His grandmother was Japanese and James promised him that he would appear on the Jeopardy Show before her death. A promise widely kept as he has won over $ 2 million in over 30 appearances on the show!
Today he is a professional poker and bridge player.
