Fida Hirschhaut è nata il 18 ottobre del 1937 in Romania ed è stata una delle più belle e valenti bridgiste venezuelane.
Quando aveva solo 8 mesi si trasferì a San Fernando in una piccola città dell'isola di Trinidad dove ha vissuto fini ai 15 anni quando con la famiglia si è spostata a Port of Spain nella capitale. Poco dopo è andata a studiare per un paio di anni nell'università del Michigan e quando aveva meno di 20 anni, durante una vacanza a Caracas ha conosciuto il suo futuro marito e non è mai più tornata, perché lo ha sposato e si è stabilita definitivamente nella capitale venezuelana.
Dal fortunato matrimonio sono nati tre figli.
Al suo trentacinquesimo anno fu colpita da una rara malattia virale che riuscì a debellare dopo più di 10 anni di cure e grazie ad un triplo trapianto di fegato che però la costrinse su una sedie a rotelle per un lungo periodo.
Vedova, dovette superare anche due interventi per estirpare due tumori, ma, ciononostante, non si è persa mai d'animo e non ha mai smesso di giocare a bridge in ogni parte del mondo.
Vincitrice di diversi titoli nazionali e del centro America, è stata più volte membro della nazionale femminile del suo Paese ed ha gareggiato per anni in molti dei principali tornei internazionali, giocando spesso in squadra con i migliori campioni del suo tempo.
Fida Hirschhaut was born on October 18, 1937 in Romania and
was one of the most beautiful and talented Venezuelan bridgists.
When she was only 8 months old she moved to San Fernando, a small town on the island of Trinidad, where he lived for 15 years when he moved with his family to Port of Spain in the capital. Shortly thereafter she went to study for a couple of years at the University of Michigan and when she was under 20, during a holiday in Caracas she met her future husband and never returned, because she married him and settled definitely in the Venezuelan capital.
Three children were born from the lucky marriage.
At his thirty-fifth year she was struck by a rare viral disease that he managed to eradicate after more than 10 years of treatment and thanks to a triple liver transplant that forced her into wheelchairs for a long time.
Widow, she had to overcome two interventions to eradicate two tumors, but, nevertheless, he never lost heart and never stopped playing bridges in every part of the world.
Winner of several national and Central American titles, she has been a member of the national team of her country several times and has competed for many years in many of the major international tournaments, often playing as a team with the best champions of her time.
