Vinita & Naren GUPTA

 

 Vinita Gupta è nata nei pressi di Delhi nel 1949 ed una donna di affari indiana che ha avuto successo nella Silicon Valley dove ha fondato la Digital Link che si è poi trasformata nella Quick Eagle Networks, un'azienda pubblica di cui è divenuta presidente.

 Laureata in elettronica e comunicazioni alla Roorkee University di Delhi si è trasferita negli States nel 1974 dove ha preso un master in ingegneria elettrica presso l'Università della California ed oggi siede nei CdA di alcuni importanti istituzioni mediche californiane.

 Sposata con Naren, anche lui buon bridgista, ha avuto due figlie Anneka e Serena e da quando si è pensionata ha cominciato ad interessarsi seriamente al bridge diventando una giocatrice di livello internazionale capace di vincere tre NABC.

Naren Gupta è nato il 30 settembre del 1948 in un paesini a 80Km dalla capitale indiana ed ha conseguito una laurea in ingegneria meccanica presso l'Indian Institute Technology di Dehli ed un dottorato presso la Stanford University, è stato fondatore e CEO dopo la privatizzazione di Integrated System Inc ed ha fondato la Nexus Venture Capital di Menlo Park oltre ad essere stato a capo di importanti aziende di tutto il mondo.

Munifico benefattore, per primo ha investito  consistentemente nelle imprese indiane ed ha intensificato fortemente i rapporti informatici tra India e USA, da molti anni viveva nella San Francisco Bay. Area

Ė scomparso improvvisamente il giorno di natale del 2021 mentre era in vacanza a Charlotte a causa di un attacco  cardiaco.

 

  Vinita Gupta was born near Delhi in 1949 and an Indian business woman who was successful in Silicon Valley where she founded Digital Link which later became Quick Eagle Networks a public company of which she became president.

Graduated in electronics and communications at Roorkee University in Delhi, she moved to the States in 1974 where she took a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of California and is on the boards of some important Californian medical institutions.

Married to Naren she had two daughters and since she retired she has taken a serious interest in bridge becoming an international player capable of winning three NABCs.

Naren Gupta was born on September 30, 1948 in a little country near the Indian capital and holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Dehli and a doctorate from Stanford University, was founder and CEO after the privatization of Integrated System Inc. and founded the Nexus Venture Capital of Menlo Park and has been at the head of major companies around the world.

A generous benefactor, he was the first to invest heavily in Indian companies and greatly intensified IT relations between India and the USA, where he lived in San Francisco Bay Area.

He passed away on Christmas Day 2021 while on vacation in Charlotte, due to a heart attack.
