Nato nel 1928 è stato uno dei migliori giocatori svizzeri di tutti i tempi.
Viveva a Grand-Lancy nei pressi di Ginevra ma a cavallo degli anni '50 ha vissuto negli Stati Uniti dove è diventato un Life Master.
Più volte campione Svizzero sia a squadre che a coppie, ha fatto parte della nazionale elvetica in maniera pressoché continuativa dal 1960 per quasi un ventennio.
Sposato, negli ultimi anni ha dovuto diradare l'attività bridgistica per prendersi cura dello stato di precaria salute della moglie.
Più volte commentatore delle smazzate dei simultanei svizzeri è scomparso a Grand-Lency nel 2022.

Bevor er in die Schweiz kam, war er Mitte der 50er-jahre bereits "Life
Master" in den USA. 1978 war er ein Kandidat auf den Titel des "Bols
Brillancy Prize" f|r das beste Spiel des Jahres. Er spielt leider kaum mehr
Turniere. Dies in Liebe zu seiner Frau, welche seine Unterstützung braucht(e).
Schade, er ist und war ein begnadeter Bridgespieler. Er überzeugt auch heute noch mit seinen Kommentaren im Rahmen der schweizerischen Bidding Box.
Im Jahr 2022 wurde der größte Kommentator der großartigen Schweizer gleichzeitig in Grand-Lency aufgenommen.
