Il barone Alfred Renouard de Bussèrie è nato il 14 giugno del 1804 a Strasburgo ed è stato un banchiere, un industriale ed uno dei più noti attori della vita politica ed economica alsaziana del suo tempo.
Fu presidente della camera di commercio di Strasburgo, direttore della Zecca francese e deputato.
Sposò Mélanie de Coehorn da cui ebbe la figlia Mélanie.
Il 7 febbraio del 1931 promosse presso l'Automobile Club di Francia la nascita della Commissione Francese del Bridge da cui derivò l'attuale Federazione, e ne fu il primo presidente.
Morì a Parigi l'8 aprile del 1887.
Baron Alfred Renouard de Bussèrie was born on June 14,
1804 in Strasbourg and was a banker, an industrialist and one of the most famous
actors of Alsatian political and economic life of his time.
He was president of the Strasbourg Chamber of Commerce, director of the French Mint and deputy.
He married Mélanie de Coehorn from whom he had his daughter Mélanie.
On 7 February 1931 he promoted the birth of the French Bridge Commission by the Automobile Club of France, from which the current Federation derived, and was its first president.
He died in Paris on 8 April 1887.
