Charles D. Bowman è nato nel 1915 ed è stato presidente per 6 anni della British Bridge League e poi presidente emerito della stessa oltre a rappresentare una figura di riferimento per l'intero movimento bridgistico scozzese.
A lui per primo venne l'idea di organizzare dei tornei simultanei.
Eccellente organizzatore e capitano non giocatore di diverse squadre britanniche è scomparso a Scone dove viveva nel 1994 a causa di un infarto.
Charles D. Bowman was born in 1915 and was president for six
years and then emeritus president of the British Bridge League as well as
representing a reference figure for the entire Scottish bridge movement.
He was the first to come up with the idea of organizing simultaneous tournaments.
Excellent organizer and non-player captain of several British teams, disappeared in Scone where he lived in 1994 due to a heart attack.
